Shavua tov! Looking forward to Shabbat Devarim and to Tisha b’Av

Shavua tov — a good new week to you! Join us for Shabbat services at 9:30am on Saturday morning, led by Spiritual Life chair Steven Green. On Shabbat morning we’ll be reading from parashat Devarim. If you’d like to read some commentaries on this week’s parsha, here are a few:

Here’s Torah commentary at Builders Blog (a project of Bayit: Building Jewish), this week co-written by Rabbi Bella Bogart and Rabbi Rachel and sketchnoted as always by Steve Silbert: Dvarim’s Building Lessons.

Sketchnote by Steve Silbert. Dvar Torah by R’ Bella Bogart and R’ Rachel Barenblat.

And here are commentaries from the URJ:

Join us at 8pm on Saturday night for our Tisha b’Av observance at CBI.

Our evening service will interweave the evening liturgy with words from Lamentations and words from today’s migrants and refugees. Tisha b’Av is a sorrowful day when we face what’s broken — in our own history, and in the world around us today. It’s also the springboard to the Days of Awe, coming exactly seven weeks before Rosh Hashanah. Please join us.

Hope to see you soon at CBI!
