Shavua tov! Looking forward to Shabbat Vayetzei.

Shavua tov — a (belated) good new week to you — and chodesh tov, a happy new month of Kislev to you!

Please join us on Friday at 5pm for We Bring Light: Hanukkah Candle-Making for Families (please RSVP for candlemaking to rabbiJgreenfield@gmail.com), followed by a vegetarian / dairy Shabbat potluck and a 7pm Kabbalat Shabbat service led by Spiritual Life chair Steve Green and Naomi Gurt Lind.

And please join us on Saturday at 9:30am for Shabbat morning services, again led by Steve Green and Naomi Gurt Lind. This week we’re reading from parashat  Vayetzei.

If you’d like to read some commentaries on this week’s Torah portion, here are a few:

Here’s Torah commentary at Builders Blog (a project of Bayit: Your Jewish Home), this week written by Rabbi Bella Bogart, illustrated by sketchnotes from Steve Silbert:

Hope to see you soon at CBI!

Blessings,

Rabbi Rachel
