Our new monthly Chai Mitzvah adult learning initiative begins tomorrow, October 5, after services. (Services usually end by 11; we’ll enjoy some Torah study after that; and then we’ll dive into Chai Mitzvah learning.)
This will be a monthly program — one Shabbat per month, after services, during the next nine months — and will feature stimulating learning about Jewish tradition, practice, and thought. Each participant will also have the opportunity to commit to a bit of new (or new-to-you) Jewish learning, a bit of new (or new-to-you) Jewish practice, and a bit of new (or new-to-you) social action work each month. You can read all about it here: Join us this year for Chai Mitzvah learning!
Space is limited and there are only a few more spots left in our initial group. If you are interested in joining us, please let me know today — call the synagogue or email me at my new CBI email address, firstname.lastname@example.org.
(And please bring a brown-bag lunch for tomorrow’s class — we’ll sit around the seminar table in the library, and all will be welcome to dine during our learning.)
I look forward to learning with y’all tomorrow and in months to come!
Blessings to all for a sweet Shabbat,
