Are you looking for a Rosh Hashanah lunch?

Dear friends and members of Congregation Beth Israel,

Rosh Hashanah is fast approaching. After services on Monday September 17, some of us will walk the ten minutes to the river to toss bread in the water in the ceremony called Tashlich. After that, many people have the custom of retiring somewhere for a celebratory lunch. After a morning of davening together, it is sweet to enjoy a festive meal together! And it can be isolating to move from the togetherness of services to the solitude of going home alone.

Are you looking for a Rosh Hashanah lunch on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, after services? Would you like to join a group of congregants and friends for lunch on that day? If so, please tell me by next Wednesday, September 12; if there are people who want to come together in this way, I will make a reservation at the Orchards, and will let them know to please make available wine/juice, bread, and apples-and-honey!

Wishing you every blessing as we move through the waning moon of Elul.

Take care,
Reb Rachel
